Who are your Reps?
We don’t use Reps anymore. All of our information comes out of our office here in Lincoln Nebraska. If you have a design questions, please feel free to e-mail us at canopy@mapes.com.
Do we sell steel or fabric canopies?
No, all of our canopies are made of aluminum.
Do we sell canopies for residences?
Most of our canopies are made for commercial and retail projects. We have done residential canopies before but ours are generally more heavy duty than what most people are looking for. If you would like a quote, please fill out our quote request form and we will get back to you.
What are our hanger rod spans?
Our Lumishade and SuperShade normally has spans of 4-5’ between hanger rods. Our Super Lumideck normally has spans of 8-10’. These can change due to location of the job, projection of the canopy, load requirements and wall design. Please consult our office for more information.
What is the standard angle of the Hanger Rods?
Standard hanger rod angles are 30-45 degrees. The rods can’t drop below 30 degrees.
What is the maximum projection of hanger rod canopies?
The maximum projection is 10 feet.
How do your canopies drain?
Our standard drainage for our hanger rod canopy is a front scupper drain. Holes are field cut in the front corners and a scupper is attached to direct the water. We also offer rear gutter and downspouts if needed.
Our post supported canopies have standard post drainage. We also can do an 8” fascia with downspouts if needed.
What do your canopies weigh?
Our canopies weigh approx. 5 lbs per sq ft and are designed for a 35-40 lbs live load.
Do we have specific wall details?
The wall design must be done by the engineer of record on the job. We do not have any input for the design of the wall.

Yes, we have generic details here.
Do you offer installation?
No, we are just a manufacturer. If you would like a price for installation and materials, please contact our office and we will get you in touch with a local installer who will price both materials and installation to you.
