The standard maximum projection for a cantilever canopy is 5 feet. Because these systems are pre-engineered for high load capacity, they are well-suited for high-stress environments. Mapes also provides PE Stamped Calculations for all 50 states to ensure the design meets local building codes for both snow and wind loads.
Mapes offers standard finishes (such as Clear Anodized, White & Bronze Baked Enamel), as well as a wide range of 2-coat liquid Kynar (70% PVDF) options. Mapes can also provide a custom-matched color for your building’s branding or architectural palette.
You can choose from three main styles: Super Lumideck (flat soffit or corrugated), Lumishade (.040-inch roll-formed), and SuperShade (louvered). There are also numerous fascia options, including various sizes of J-style, C-channel, smooth face and custom designs.
The Super Lumideck and Lumishade models feature an internal drainage system. Water is collected in the perimeter fascia gutter and discharged through bottom-mounted scuppers or downspouts. The SuperShade (louvered) model is open and does not require a drainage system.
